Week Two: Finishing Up the Rain Tree Removal at Ingham Showgrounds | LSF Tree lopping and vegetation services

Donna Sep 12, 2025

At LSF Tree & Vegetation Services, Week Two marked the final stages of the raintree removal project at Ingham Showgrounds. Our team wrapped up the last of the works, ensuring the site was left safe, clean, and ready for future community use.

Week One Recap

During Week One, our crew successfully removed the massive raintrees down to stump level. This required careful sectioning with a crane, support from our excavator, and a strong focus on safety around the busy showgrounds precinct.

Week Two Works

In Week Two, the focus shifted to stump removal and ground restoration. Two of the large stumps were excavated and backfilled with gravel, while the other two were ground down below surface level. This ensured the area was made safe, stable, and accessible for ongoing community activities.

Safety and Professionalism

With the showgrounds being a high-traffic public area, safety remained our top priority. Barricades, traffic control, and careful planning were in place at every stage to protect the community and surrounding infrastructure.

Project Completion & Thanks

With the works now completed and equipment scheduled for collection early next week, this project has officially come to a close.

We would like to extend our thanks to Hinchinbrook Shire Council, the Ingham Show Society, and the Ingham Rodeo for their support and cooperation throughout this project.

Special thanks also go to our local partners and suppliers who helped make the job possible:

  • Jaycat earthworks
  • Mitre 10 ingham
  • Quarrybrook - gravel supplier
  • United rentals - 14-ton excavator hire

It has been a privilege to contribute to the upkeep of such an important community venue.

Moving On Along the Bruce

While the dust settles at the showgrounds, the LSF crew hasn’t slowed down. The team has now rolled straight into a new project along the Bruce Highway, keeping up the momentum and tackling the next big challenge with the same energy and professionalism.

From Ingham to Innisfail, El Arish to Gordonvale, and across the wider Cassowary Coast, we’re proud to service communities right across Far North Queensland — delivering safe, professional tree and vegetation solutions wherever they’re needed.
